Copper-Colored and Antique Copper Finish Options

Ferosteel supplies copper-colored and antique copper stainless steel sheets in 201, 304 and 316L. Available processes include PVD copper color, chemical coloration and antique or aged decorative finishing. These processes create different appearances and should be identified separately during sample approval.

Additional thickness options: In addition to the commonly supplied 0.8–3.0 mm range shown above, selected finishes can be evaluated from 0.3 mm according to the substrate, surface process and project requirements.

Understanding the Finish Processes

• PVD copper-colored stainless steel: creates a copper-like decorative tone over the selected stainless steel surface.
• Chemically colored stainless steel: creates warm copper, bronze and aged tones whose appearance depends on the substrate and process.
• Antique and aged finishes: introduce controlled tone and texture variation for a natural aged-metal appearance.

The base material is stainless steel. PVD copper color, chemical coloration, antique finishing and true copper electroplating are different processes and should not be treated as interchangeable descriptions.

• 201: selected dry indoor decorative applications.
• 304: commercial interiors, elevators, furniture, wall panels and ceilings.
• 316L: projects requiring evaluation for coastal, humid or chloride-exposed environments.

Exterior suitability depends on the complete finishing system, protective treatment, edges, installation and maintenance plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the product made from solid copper?
No. The base material is stainless steel. The copper appearance is created using the selected surface-finishing process.

Will all antique copper panels look completely identical?
Antique finishes can contain controlled visual variation. A physical sample and agreed acceptance range are recommended before project production.

Can the sheets be cut and bent?
Yes, but the processing sequence should be reviewed because cutting, bending and welding can affect the decorative surface and exposed edges.
